Continuing their spectacular path in elite rugby production, global sports production and content business, Sunset+Vine, was thrilled to be a part of a huge weekend of Rugby at Twickenham. They were appointed by TEG Rugby Live as Host Broadcaster, to provide enthralling world feed coverage, as well as an additional production contract with S4C, to provide a dedicated Welsh feed for S4C viewers.
The two major internationals took place at the home of rugby, with the World Champion Springboks beating Wales 52- 16 for the Qatar Airways Cup. This mighty match was followed by a star-studded Barbarians team taking on Fiji for The Killik Cup, with Barbarians coming out on top. Sunset+Vine kept audiences around the world captivated with their world feed coverage, and their expert and fervent commentary team for both games.
At the same time, Sunset+Vine Wales produced the Welsh language coverage of the South Africa v Wales match for S4C and added tailored presentation and commentary to the host feed.
The Sunset+Vine production teams partnered with two of the most renowned companies in the field – EMG, who provided OB facilities, and AE Live who brought eye-catching graphics to this thrilling day of sport.
For the world feed commentary team, Sunset+Vine secured impressive talents in Martin Gillingham, Jamie Roberts, Nick Heath and Tom May, whose blend of expertise and experience delivered exciting play-by-play action.
For the S4C coverage, Sarra Elgan was at the helm as presenter, with Gareth Charles and Gwyn Jones in the commentary box. Gareth and Gwyn were also joined by guests Sioned Harries, Nicky Robinson and Mike Phillips – which brought a compelling range of voices and opinions to our Welsh audiences.
Titus Hill, Executive Producer at Sunset+Vine, commented: “Rugby is very close to our hearts at Sunset+Vine, so we’re delighted that we hosted these two fantastic matches. It really was a spectacular day of rugby.”
Cerith Williams, Head of Sunset+Vine Wales, added: “Following our relationship in the Autumn Nations Series over the last few years, S+V Cymru were delighted to have delivered international rugby to S4C once more – and adding a world class presentation and commentary line up to a world class Host Broadcast feed.”
