Pioneer Productions are thrilled to announce, in partnership with ABC News Studios, a brand-new series - Mother Undercover for Hulu.
This gripping new four-part docu-series, Mother Undercover, tells the tale of four courageous mothers on a mission to save or get justice for their children.
Across four astounding episodes, viewers meet four incredible mothers. Each faces every parent’s worst nightmare – a child who is kidnapped and taken halfway across the world; the possibility of their children being taken away by a corrupt judge; their lives at stake as a religious group spiral towards mass suicide; and a son shot dead on the street. Each of them transforms into an undercover agent, taking matters into their own hands, whatever the cost.
Mother Undercover showcases the strength and resilience of women who prove a mother’s love knows no bounds.
Thomas Viner, Executive Producer at Pioneer Productions, commented: “Mother Undercover really moves the true crime genre forwards. We’ve seen plenty of women as victims. These are stories of women as heroes – ordinary mothers who, faced with the most extreme circumstances, stand up for their children, and fight, and win against extraordinary odds.”
Mother Undercover is a 4 x 60 series for Hulu; produced by ABC News Studios and Pioneer Productions. It is executive produced by Thomas Viner and Rachel Morgan at Pioneer Productions, with David Sloan as senior executive producer and Beth Hoppe as executive producer for ABC News Studios. It will be distributed by ABC News Studios / Hulu.
