Passion Distribution has struck an exclusive partnership deal with Lambent Productions.
Brighton-based Lambent has a 20-year track record as one of the most distinctive production companies in UK television, gaining access to extraordinary people and hidden worlds to create award-winning factual series. Recent productions include the ground-breaking Addicted Parents: Last Chance To Keep My Children for BBC2 and acclaimed Clare Balding documentary When Football Banned Women. In recent years the company has broadened its international ambitions, delivering two UHD series for Insight, and creating pilots for major new formats for FYI and A&E.
The 2-year deal will see Passion Distribution sell Lambent titles internationally as well as securing pre-sales and sourcing funding and coproduction partners for Lambent’s shows. It was brokered by Head of Acquisitions, Jimmy Humphrey.
Emmanuelle Namiech, CEO of Passion Distribution, said “When the opportunity to work with the talented Lambent team came up, we simply couldn’t resist. We are excited to partner with Emma and Ollie and support their international strategy, and further boost Passion Distribution’s growing factual and factual entertainment slate. Lambent’s production and development slate is rich and vibrant, packed full of unique perspectives on fascinating people and stories – and therefore a perfect fit for Passion.”
Ollie Tait, Managing Director at Lambent Productions said “Passion Distribution share our ambition for Lambent and understand our unique take on the kind of ideas, access, people, and stories that we think will make great TV. We’re really pleased to be working with Emmanuelle and Jimmy at such an exciting time for Passion Distribution, and as we build on our recent international growth, we know this will be a fruitful and rewarding partnership.”
